Peregian Springs, Lake Weyba, Doonan and Weyba Downs bushfire

Bushfire warning level: ADVICE

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Peregian Springs and Weyba Downs.

You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.

Currently as at 5.20pm Thursday 19 December, a bushfire is burning in the vicinity of Peregian Springs Drive, Sunshine Motorway (also known as Emu Mountain Road), Doonan Bridge Road North and Grays Road.

There continues to be fire activity adjacent to Peregian Springs Drive, The Avenue and Heron Road. Properties are not under direct threat at this time but residents are advised to stay up-to-date with warnings, as the situation could change.

Waterbombing aircraft will be working in the area this afternoon. Overnight, crews will continue to monitor, patrol and black out the fire perimeter.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe you or your property is under threat.
