There's a new place to picnic this month!
The City invites residents to join the inaugural Picnic by the Pool at Kardinia Aquatic Centre on Friday 21 February.
The special event has been designed for families and friends to cool off and unwind after a week of work and school.
While the event is free for Swim Sport & Leisure and Webstar's Swim School members, you don't have to be a member to attend.
Everyone is welcome to join the alcohol-free evening.
Local music maestro DJ Ali will set the tone with some twilight tunes.
There will also be fun activities for all ages to enjoy, including face painting, the inflatable Leisure Sub, a visit from Webstar the platypus mascot and more.
All pools and the waterslide will be open and patrolled by lifeguards.
The trial event follows successful family fun days and school holiday programs across the City's leisure centres.
So grab your picnic blanket and some snacks and get poolside.
