Plains of Abraham Essential to Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec

The National Battlefields Commission

The National Battlefields Commission (NBC) is proud to renew its partnership with the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec, which will ride through the Plains of Abraham on September 8 this year. As the agency charged with maintaining this historic urban park, the NBC is thrilled to welcome this exciting event for the 12th year to bring people together and foster the sporting spirit in the city.

The public will be able to enjoy exceptional viewpoints as elite racers follow the path of everyone who has made the Plains of Abraham the setting for their achievements over the years.

The NBC is pleased to partner with the artist Christophe St-Onge, who will be creating a new work of art with chalk on the paved Grey Terrace. This initiative is a nod to the messages written on the European Grand Prix courses by fans. The public is invited to come and see this temporary work of art, which will run alongside the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec on September 8.

The NBC also encourages park visitors to consult its website (theplainsofabraham.ca) and social media to plan their visit and travel during the event. The Plains of Abraham Museum will be open on its usual schedule (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and summer activities like outdoor escape games and treasure hunts will still be available.
