Police appeal for information after Braybrook armed robbery

Armed Crime Squad detectives are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a Post Office in Braybrook earlier this year.

Investigators have been told a lone man armed with a knife entered the Churchill Avenue premises about 1.33pm on Monday 14 February.

Once inside, the man approached the front counter, before producing the knife and pointing it towards the staff member.

He then made his way behind the counter where he forced the staff member to open the cash register, before grabbing a large quantity of cash and fleeing the premises on foot.

The member of staff was not physically injured during the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Asian in appearance, with a thin build and approximately 170cm tall.

He was wearing a surgical mask, black/gold hat, black Nike jumper with white stripes, baggy blue pants and black and white runners.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man or who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link.
