Police are seeking witnesses after a elderly man was assaulted by man not known to him at Bedford Park yesterday.
At 3.55pm, Wednesday 16 September the victim, an 81-year-old man from Kingswood was assaulted while he waited at the Zone A bus stop, Flinders Drive, near to the Flinders Medical Center.
The victim received serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Mitchell Park has been arrested in relation to the alleged offences and will undergo a medical assessment prior to any further police action.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, wearing a grey top and a black jacket.
