Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from North Wollongong

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from North Wollongong.

Bau Tram, aged 87, was last seen at a residence on Ajax Avenue, North Wollongong, about 9am Saturday (6 August 2022), where she intended to ride the Wollongong train into Sydney.

Officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified she was missing and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Family and police hold serious concerns for her welfare due to Maria living with dementia.

Bau is described as being of Asian appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build, and has grey hair.

Bau is known to frequent Newtown, Fairfield, Bankstown, and Cabramatta.
