Police appeal to locate girl missing from Leichardt

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney's Inner West.

Malika Soeurng, aged 13, was last seen at an address on Burrfit Street, Leichardt, about 12pm on Saturday 6 May 2023.

Unable to be located since, about 10pm yesterday (Sunday 7 May 2023) officers attached to Leichardt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Malika's welfare due to her young age.

Malika is described as being of Asian appearance with a tanned complexion, about 125cm tall and of slim build.

Police believe that she may have travelled toward the Newtown, Rose Hill or St Marys areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
