Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From St George Area 29 April

Police are appealing for assistance to locate a man missing from the St George area for more than six months.

Esam Mahmoud Hamed Bawaneh, aged 49, was last seen at Rockdale Railway Station on 8 August 2024.

He was reported missing to officers from St George Police Area Command by a family member when they hadn't heard from him for some time.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare.

Esam is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 180-190cm tall, of medium build and with dark brown/greying hair.

He was last seen wearing dark pants and a light-coloured long-sleeved shirt.

Esam is known to use the rail network and frequents the Sydney CBD, Wolli Creek and Newcastle areas.
