Police appeal to locate teen missing from Sydney

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenager missing from Sydney's CBD.

Jack Badarch, aged 16, was last seen at a unit on Castlereagh Street, about 10 am on Tuesday (19 April 2022).

When he failed to return home and could not be contacted, officers from Sydney City Police Area Command were notified yesterday (Wednesday 20 April 2022) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Jack's welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Jack is described as being of Asian appearance, about 170cm tall, of slim build, and with short black hair.

It is unknown what he was wearing at the time but is believed to have a grey hooded jumper with him.

Jack is believed to be using the public transport network and is known to frequent the CBD and Leichardt areas.

Anyone with information on Jack's whereabouts is urged to contact Day Street Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
