Police appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Bankstown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney's south west.

Kayla Matthews-Hagon, aged 14, was last seen at a unit on Rickard Road, Bankstown, about 6pm yesterday (Thursday 3 March 2022).

When she failed to return, she was reported missing to officers from Bankstown Police Area Command who commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

Kayla is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm to 155cm tall, of medium build, with long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. Kayla was carrying a purple bag.

Police believe Kayla could be in the company of another teenage girl. The other teen was last seen wearing a red and white hoodie and dark track pants. She was carrying two green bags.

The teens are believed to be in the Bankstown area and may be looking to travel to Newcastle via train.
