Police appeal to locate teenager missing from Blue Mountains Police Area Command

Police are appealing for community assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from the Blue Mountains area.

Maleek Douglas, aged 16, was last seen leaving his school on Yileena Avenue, Lawson, about 1pm today (Tuesday 7 December 2021).

He was reported missing to officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command when he failed to return home and inquiries into Maleek's whereabouts commenced.

Maleek is described as being of Caucasian appearance, slim build, about 167cm tall with light brown hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark blue track pants with "sterling" written on them and carrying a back pack.

Maleek is known to frequent the Katoomba and Leura areas.
