Police are currently attending a fatal two-car collision in Foster North.
It is believed one of the vehicles was making a right hand turn from Foster-Mirboo Road onto the South Gippsland Highway when it collided with an oncoming vehicle at about 7.20am.
The driver of the first vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and an investigation is ongoing.
The South Gippsland Highway remains closed in both directions between Falls Road and O'Gradys Ridge Road.
