About 1.55pm, a silver Ford Kuga station sedan and a grey Holden Colorado utility were involved in a collision on Pile Road, near the intersection of Ferguson Road.
Emergency services attended the scene.
The 72-year-old female driver of the Ford Kuga was conveyed to Bunbury Regional Hospital, where she sadly later died as a result of injuries sustained.
The five other occupants of the Ford Kuga, and the three occupants of the Holden Colardo were all conveyed to hospitals in the area for medical treatment.
