Police are responding to serious crash, Diddillibah

A 29-year-old man has serious injuries following a crash on a property at Diddillibah yesterday.

Initial inquiries indicate at about 2pm a utility, with two passengers, was being driven by a 21-year-old man around the property where upon it entered a deep body of water and became submerged.

The driver and a 19-year-old man in the front passenger seat were able to get out of the vehicle prior to it becoming completely submerged.

A 29-year-old man in the rear passenger seat was trapped for a short time before being rescued via the rear window.

The 29-year-old man was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
