Police are responding to serious crash - Newman

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating serious crash that occurred in Newman on Saturday 27 March 2021.

Around 9.25pm a Blue Mazda 3 was driving north on the Great Northern Highway, approximately 92 kilometres north of Newman when it left the roadway and collided with a storm water drain.

As a result of the crash two passengers, 4-year-old girl and 6-year-old girl, received serious injuries and they were flown to the Perth Children's hospital for treatment.

Their conditions are not considered life threatening.

The driver, their 25-year-old father, received minor injuries.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
