Police arrest man after assault at Modbury interchange, South Australia

Police have arrested a man following an assault at Modbury this afternoon.

Just before 6pm, Tuesday 15 March, patrols and paramedics were called to the bus interchange at Tea Tree Plaza, after the victim was punched several times by man. The suspect fled the scene before patrols arrived however, he was located a short time later nearby and arrested.

The victim, a 62-year-old from Pooraka was taken to the Modbury Hospital with non-serious head injuries. The suspect, a 27-year-old from Surrey Downs, is expected to be charged with aggravated assault cause harm.
