Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 30-year-old man as a result of their extensive investigation into the attempted sexual assault of a woman in her 80s that occurred yesterday, 28 April 2019 in Greenfields.
It will be alleged about 2.10am, the man entered the woman's home where he attempted to sexually assault her. It is further alleged as a result of the assault the woman received bruising and abrasions to her face and swelling to her hand.
The 30-year-old man from Mandurah has been charged with Attempted Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent; and Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit.
He is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court today, 29 April 2019.
