Police arrest seven teens after Box Hill South aggravated burglary

Seven teenagers have been arrested after an aggravated burglary in Box Hill South this morning.

It's alleged the teens forced entry into the Nash Street house about 1.45am and were disturbed by the residents.

A quick response from Southern Metro Crime Team detectives, the Dandenong Frontline Tactical Unit, local officers and the dog squad resulted in five teens being arrested at the scene and a further two teens arrested nearby.

Fortunately, the occupants of the house weren't physically injured.

It's alleged the teens were travelling in a stolen Mazda 6 earlier in the evening where it's believed the vehicle travelled at speeds in excess of 170km/h on the Mordialloc Freeway.

It's alleged the vehicle was stolen from a Briars Hill address on 4 April.

A 16-year-old Carrum Downs boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 16-year-old Briars Hill boy and a 14-year-old Mornington boy have each been charged with attempted aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

They will appear before a children's court today.

A 17-year-old Skye boy, a 16-year-old Parkdale boy, a 15-year-old Carrum Downs boy and 14-year-old Frankston boy have each been charged with attempted aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle.

They have been bailed to appear before a children's court at a later date.
