Police arrest two for theft of car at Mile End, South Australia

Two men have been arrested after allegedly stealing a car from a food delivery driver overnight.

The victim left his car running while making a delivery in Parker Street, Mile End about 12.45am on Wednesday 9 September. Two men jumped into the white 2007 BMW sedan and took off.

The victim wasn't confronted or injured during the theft.

Police attended and viewed CCTV of the offence. Officers identified suspects from the CCTV and attended a Mile End house where they arrested two men just before 2am.

A 36-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Mile End, were arrested and charged with illegal use and theft of personal items from the car.

The stolen BMW was located nearby in Kintore Lane, Mile End. It has been seized and towed for forensic examination.

Police are still looking for some of the stolen items.

The two men did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
