Police arrest two over drug raid at Osborne, South Australia

A man and woman both from Osborne have been arrested on drug and money laundering charges after police searched their home early this morning.

Just before 8.30am on Friday 8 January, Western District Police assisted by STAR group officers, raided a home on Moldavia Walk, allegedly locating 28 grams of methamphetamine and a traffickable amount of cannabis.

During the search police also found a substantial amount of cash, several items believed to be have been stolen including an air compressor and an E-bike, plus an item believed to be a small explosive device.

The police Bomb Response Unit attended the Osborne address and took the small tubular device wrapped in tape away.

As a result of the investigation a 36-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman both of Osborne were arrested and charged with numerous offences including trafficking a controlled drug, producing a prohibited substance, money laundering, theft and possessing an explosive device.

The arrested man was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 11 January. The woman has been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 17 February.
