Police charge man after burglary at Dunolly

Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after jewellery and police uniform was allegedly stolen during a burglary at Dunolly.

The burglary occurred at a Dunolly address about 4.30pm on 6 December.

Police attended and conducted a patrol before also locating an alleged stolen vehicle near McKinnon Road and arresting a 25-year-old man near the intersection of Thompson Street.

The Whittington man has been charged with burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle, impersonate police, assault police, possess a controlled weapon and other related offences.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday 9 December.
