Police charge man after drugs and firearms found - Narellan

A man has been charged with drug and firearm offences following a vehicle stop in Sydney's south-west.

About 9.30am yesterday (Thursday 16 May 2019), officers from Camden Police Area Command stopped a grey Holden in Jackson Crescent, Elderslie.

Officers spoke to the driver and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers allegedly discovered an amount of the drug, methylamphetamine.

The man was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

Following the arrest, a search was undertaken at the man's Narellan residence. As a result, Police allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine, a gun, ammunition and cash.

The 38-year-old was charged with seven offences –

  • Supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity)
  • Supply prohibited drug
  • Deal with the proceeds of crime
  • Possess unauthorised pistol
  • Possess unregistered pistol
  • Not keep firearm safely
  • Possess ammunition without permit

He was refused bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 23 July 2019.
