Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following a fatal stabbing in Endeavour Hills earlier this week.
A 51-year-old Endeavour Hills man was interviewed by police today and subsequently charged with murder and recklessly cause injury.
The man, who is currently in hospital under police guard, will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court via video link this afternoon.
The charges follow an incident at a property in Kassan Gardens on 30 May where a 39-year-old Endeavour Hills woman was fatally stabbed.
A 10-year-old girl was also taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
The parties involved in this matter were known to each other.
