Police charge man after Kellyville home invasion - Strike Force Bristlenose

A man has been charged following a home invasion in Sydney's north-west last year.

About 11.30pm on Thursday 30 December 2021, four men allegedly forced their way into a home on Lavender Avenue, Kellyville, and assaulted the residents, a 61-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman before fleeing the scene.

The residents suffered minor injuries.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command attended and secured a crime scene, which was examined by specialist officers.

Detectives established Strike Force Bristlenose to investigate the incident, which they believed to be targeted.

Following extensive inquiries – including a public appeal for information – police arrested a 20-year-old man at an address on Marsden Street, Liverpool, today (Friday 2 September 2022).

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with special aggravated B&E & commit serious indictable offence.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 3 September 2022).

Inquiries under Strike Force Bristlenose are ongoing.
