Police charge man after Melbourne assault with didgeridoo

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an assault in Melbourne on Saturday.

It is alleged a man was assaulted by another man with a didgeridoo, following an altercation outside the MCG about 10.40pm on Saturday, 21 May.

Police executed warrants at a property in Dandenong North this morning and arrested a 26-year-old man.

The Dandenong North man has been charged with affray, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury and assault with a weapon.

He has been bailed and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 9 December 2022.
