A man has been charged after a pursuit and crash in Sydney's southwest this morning.
About 2am today (Sunday 17 May 2026), officers attached to State Crime Command Raptor Squad were patrolling on Woodville Road, Old Guildford, when they observed a black sedan allegedly travelling at an excessive speed.
When the vehicle failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through residential streets in Old Guildford and Rhodes Avenue, Guildford, where the sedan came to a stop after crashing into a parked white hatchback and causing minor damage to two other parked vehicles.
The driver – a 26-year-old man – was uninjured.
He was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station where he has been charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive at speed.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Paramatta Local Court on Thursday 4 June 2026.
