Police charge man over armed robbery - Cameron Park

A man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Lake Macquarie earlier this month.

About 7.35pm on Monday 14 March 2022, a man entered a fast-food store on Stenhouse Drive, Cameron Park, and allegedly threatened an employee with a hunting knife before leaving with an amount of cash.

A crime scene was established by officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives attended Raymond Terrace Police Station about 8am today (Tuesday 29 March 2022), where they spoke with a 23-year-old man remanded in custody for an unrelated matter.

He was arrested and charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.

The Anna Bay man was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court today, where he was formally bail refused to reappear at the same court on Monday 27 June 2022.
