Police charge man over fatal crash at Sutton Forest

A man has been charged over a fatal crash that occurred in the states south earlier this year.

Just after 1pm on Saturday 11 June 2022, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a tree on the Hume Highway, Sutton Forest.

The passenger – a 19-year-old man – died at the scene.

The driver – a 19-year-old man – and another male passenger were taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition and later released.

A crime scene was established and examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Following extensive inquiries, the driver was today (Thursday 11 August 2022) charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous and negligent driving (occasioning death).

He is due to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 25 October 2022.
