A man will re-appear in court today charged over the alleged sexual assault of two teenage girls in Sydney's south-west.
In June 2021, police received reports that two young girls – aged 14 and 15 – had been sexually assaulted by a man known to them.
The matter was referred to detectives at the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad who commenced an investigation.
Following inquires, a 25-year-old man attended Bankstown Police Station on Wednesday 18 August 2021, where he was arrested and charged with five counts of intentionally sexually touch child between 10 and 16 years and intentionally do sexual act with child between 10 and 16 years.
Police will allege in court the man sexually assaulted the girls on separate occasions in June 2020 after meeting them online.
The Greenacre man was refused bail and appeared at Bankstown Local Court that day, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court today (Wednesday 1 September 2021).
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
