Police charge man with assault at Kellyville

A man has been charged after a teenager was found with critical injuries in Kellyville last night.

Just before 10.30pm (Monday 4 January 2021), emergency services were called to Perseus Circuit where they found a 17-year-old boy with serious head injuries.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the teen's injuries.

Following inquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested at Windsor Police Station about 10.30am today (Tuesday 5 January 2021).

He was charged with assault with intent to rob armed offensive weapon wound/weapon and refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 6 January 2021).

Police will allege in court that the older man was in a vehicle with three other males, aged 18, 19 and 20, who drove to the location together to meet with the younger male.

Police will further allege the charged man stole a quantity of e-cigarettes from the younger man while armed with a knife.

Inquiries are continuing and further charges have not been ruled out.

The 17-year-old boy remains in a critical condition at Westmead Hospital.
