A man will appear in court today following extensive investigations into alleged break and enter and animal cruelty offences in Sydney's west over the last month.
Earlier this month, officers from Nepean Police Area Command commenced investigations after receiving reports of alleged break and enter offences at a school in St Marys.
Police will allege in court the offences occurred between Wednesday 27 April 2022 and Wednesday 18 May 2022, during which a man allegedly assaulted goats and sheep housed within a farm on the premises.
Following ongoing inquiries, about 7.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 18 May 2022), police arrested a 43-year-old man at a school on Kalang Avenue, St Marys.
He was taken to St Marys Police Station where he was charged with 14 offences including break and enter etc do indictable offence (not steal/damage), destroy or damage property, commit an act of cruelty upon an animal, enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, and bestiality.
He was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 19 May 2022).
