Mutawintji Festival Celebrates Camping and Culture

Campers, dancers and lovers of culture are invited to this year's Mutawintji Cultural Festival to celebrate Aboriginal culture and immerse themselves in a unique cultural experience from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 August at Mutawintji National Park.

The festival will feature guided tours of Mutawintji National Park, cultural workshops, traditional dance ceremony and a tag along tour to cultural sites on Mutawintji State Conservation Area.

Visitors taking part in tours will be led by knowledgeable local Aboriginal guides who are excited to share their stories, cultural values, heritage and history over the backdrop of beautiful and iconic scenery of the Bynguano Ranges.

Art enthusiasts can take part through a variety of engaging workshops including weaving and even dancing for the daring.

Local and visiting First Nation dance groups from around the country will perform traditional dances from their group's Country coming together for a corroboree each evening.
