Police Charge Man With Broadmeadows Shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following a shooting in Broadmeadows last month.

Emergency services were called to Pascoe Vale Road following reports a man had suffered a gunshot wound on Sunday 28 September about 3.45pm.

A 22-year-old Meadow Heights man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at Coolaroo Railway Station by Protective Services Officers from Transit Safety Division on Wednesday 1 October about 4.30pm.

He was charged with attempted murder, intentionally cause serious injuries in circumstances of gross violence, assault police and prohibited person possess firearm.

The Roxburgh Park man was remanded into custody and will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 8 January.

At this stage police will allege parties involved were known to each other and the incident was targeted.

Investigators believe that no other alleged offenders remain outstanding and would like to thank witnesses who came forward.
