Police charge man with sexual offences

Sex Assault Squad detectives investigating several reports of alleged sexual assaults, have charged a 27-year-old man with 13 offences.

It will be alleged between 2019 and 2023 the man sexually assaulted three woman he met through various online dating sites being Bumble, Tinder and Hinge. It will be further alleged he recorded one victim without her consent and threatened to distribute intimate images from the recording.

The 27-year-old man from Morley has been charged with:-

• Six counts of Sexual Penetration without Consent;

• Two counts of Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent;

• One count of Aggravated Indecent Assault;

• One count of Threatened to Distribute an Intimate Image;

• One count of Used Optical Surveillance Device to Record a Private Activity;

• One count of Unlawful and Indecent Assault; and

• One count of Impeded Another Person's Normal Breathing or Blood Circulation by Applying Pressure to Neck.

He appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on 9 June 2023.
