Police charge man with stealing puppy

Armadale Police have charged a man in relation to a puppy being taken on Tuesday 30 June 2020 in Huntingdale.

It is alleged around 11am the man was driving a Holden Commodore along Elkington Pass when he stopped and picked up a six month old English Staffordshire puppy from the street and placed it in his car and drove off.

It is further alleged he did not make any attempts to locate the owner of the dog.

Armadale Police officers located the puppy at a home in Armadale and reunited it with its owners.

The man was located by Armadale Police last night, 2 July 2020 and he was arrested.

The 34-year-old man from Armadale has been charged with stealing and is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on 17 July 2020.
