Police charge three men after armed robbery at Buxton

Three men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in the Wollondilly area overnight.

About 9.10pm (Sunday 5 December 2021), police were called to a supermarket on East Parade, Buxton, following reports of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, police were told the two employees – a 47-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman – had closed and were leaving the premises when they were allegedly threatened by three unknown men in the carpark.

The three men – allegedly armed with a knife and firearm – demanded cash, before the male employee was allegedly stabbed in the hand.

Cash and personal belongings were allegedly stolen from the employees before the three unknown men fled the scene in a white Toyota SUV.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended, established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, with assistance from Traffic and Highway Patrol, the Dog Unit, Campbelltown Police and Pol Air, the vehicle was located and stopped in an industrial estate on Lancaster Street, Ingleburn, just after 10pm (Sunday 5 December 2021).

The occupants of the Toyota – three men aged 38, 37 and 30 – were arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

During a search of the vehicle, cash, personal belongings, and a knife were located and seized.

All three were charged with one count each of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon and were refused bail to appear in Moss Vale Local Court today (Monday 6 December 2021).
