Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate an alleged carjacking in Lara.
Investigators have been told a man approached a vehicle in a Flinders Avenue school carpark about 7.15am on Wednesday 6 August.
The man allegedly threatened the female driver of the silver Mazda CX5 before pushing her out and stealing the vehicle.
Fortunately, the 56-year-old Lara woman was not injured.
Detectives attended an address in Dural Court, Corio where two people were arrested and the Mazda was recovered about 9am.
A 30-year-old Corio man has subsequently been charged with a range of unrelated offences including theft of motor vehicle, possess methylamphetamine, handle stolen goods, prohibited person possess firearm and deal property suspected of crime.
He has been bailed to face Geelong Magistrates' Court on 9 October.
A 38-year-old Corio woman has been charged with unrelated offences including theft of motor vehicle, prohibited person possess firearm, deal proceeds suspected of crime, handle stolen goods, possess methylamphetamine and commit indictable offences whilst on bail.
She has been remanded to face Geelong Magistrates' Court on 11 August.
Investigations into the carjacking remain ongoing.
