Police investigate armed robbery at Windsor convenience store

Detectives from Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit are hoping to identify a man following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Windsor last month.

Police have been told an unknown man entered the Dandenong Road store about 10.35pm on Tuesday, 4 May.

The man produced a large knife and threatened staff before jumping through the security screens.

He stole a large amount of cigarettes before fleeing on foot towards the St Kilda area.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Detectives have today released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist with their investigation.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, solid build, about 170cm tall and was wearing a grey hooded jumper and black pants.
