Police investigate armed robbery atCurrumbin Waters

Police are investigating after a bottle shop was robbed in Currumbin Waters yesterday.

Officers were called to the Bienvenue Drive store shortly after 7.30pm following reports that a person had entered the store and produced a firearm.

He made demands before fleeing the scene on foot with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

He was was seen entering a small white car.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

The person is described as Caucasian in appearance and around 170cm tall and was last seen wearing dark coloured clothing and a black balaclava.

Investigations are continuing.
