Devonport Police is investigating a structural fire at Ambleside, East Devonport, on Sunday night, Tasmania Police say.
Around 9.35pm, Police and Tasmania Fire Service were called to a fire at a residence in Bayview Avenue. The fire was contained to one room of the property.
A 24-year-old woman and a four-month-old baby boy, both from Devonport, were taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
The cause of the fire remains the subject of investigation by Tasmania Fire Service fire scene examiners, Police Forensic Services and Detectives.
