Police are investigating after the driver of a stolen car fled after colliding with another vehicle in Lucas early this morning.
Investigators have been told the driver of a stolen silver Hyundai i20 sedan travelling east along Remembrance Drive collided head-on with a blue Toyota Camry sedan just after 3am.
The driver of the silver Hyundai i20 sedan fled the scene while the driver and sole occupant of the blue Toyota Camry sedan remained trapped inside the vehicle.
The 53-year-old sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital.
Police appeal to anyone with information about the driver to come forward.
