Police investigate home invasion - South Coast

Police are investigating following a home invasion on the state's south coast overnight.

About 7.50pm (Monday 7 June 2021), police have been told two men approached the front door of a home on Long Point Street, Potato Point.

The sole occupant – a 63-year-old man – refused to open the door, before the two men smashed the door and entered.

The homeowner ran from the house and hid in the backyard as the pair ransacked the home.

It's believed they stole his wallet, cash and prescription medication.

The man was not physically injured.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were notified and have commenced an investigation.
