Police investigate serious assault atParkside, South Australia

Police are investigating a serious assault at Parkside this morning.

Police and paramedics were called to Blyth Street, Parkside just after 6am on Saturday 12 November by reports a man had been stabbed.

A 20-year-old man was found at the scene with serious injuries.

He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance. His injuries are considered life-threatening.

A 17-year-old girl was quickly located at a nearby address, also with injuries.

A 26-year-old man was arrested and is currently speaking with Eastern District Detectives.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Police wish to reassure the local community that this is not a random incident and the people involved appear to be known to each other.
