Police investigate suspicious house fire - South Grafton

Police are appealing for public assistance after a fire caused extensive damage to a house in the state's north earlier this year.

About 2pm on Tuesday 27 April 2012 emergency services attended Maxwell Avenue at South Grafton following reports a house was well alight.

The blaze was extinguished; however, the house was extensively damaged.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced by officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District.

Following inquiries police are now treating the fire as suspicious are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious at the time of the fire, is urged to contact Grafton Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
