Officers from the Townsville and Kirwan Criminal Investigation Branches (CIB) have charged a 31-year-old Kirwan man and 28-year-old Ayr woman following a shooting incident in Mount Louisa on 18 May.
Around 6.45am, police and emergency services were called to a Rundle Street house following reports of gunshots.
It will be alleged the 31-year-old man, and 28-year-old woman attended the address and became involved in an altercation with the victim, a 28-year-old Bowen woman, known to them.
It will be alleged the man produced a firearm and fired several shots, resulting in the woman being shot in the leg.
Both offenders allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle.
The 28-year-old Bowen woman was transported to Townsville University Hospital with non-life threating injuries.
The 31-year-old man was charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils or pipes.
The 28-year-old woman was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both were refused bail to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today, 22 May.
