Police have charged a man following an assault in Nambour this afternoon, June 24.
Emergency services were called to a venue on Currie Street around 2.33pm after reports a man had been allegedly stabbed.
Police will allege a 41-year-old Nambour man was involved in an altercation and then ran from the scene.
Police located the man in Petrie Park and took him into custody without incident around 3.43pm.
The 41-year-old Nambour man was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public space.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow, June 25.
A 33-year-old Charleville man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threating injuries.
The men are believed to be known to each other.
