Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery in Katherine

Northern Territory Police have charged a 13-year-old male in relation to an aggravated robbery in Katherine yesterday afternoon.

Around 3:45pm, police received reports the youth unlawfully entered the residence on Sandalwood Crescent, Katherine, armed with a knife. The youth allegedly threatened a resident with the weapon before stealing a number of items and fleeing the scene.

A short time late, Katherine Police located the youth where he was arrested without incident.

He has since been charged with:

  • Aggravated burglary
  • Aggravated robbery
  • Aggravated assault
  • Damage to property
  • Serious breach of bail

He has since been further remanded to appear in court on 14 August 2023.
