Police lay charges - Arson in Darwin City 18 November

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a fire in Darwin City on Saturday.

At around 6:00pm, police received reports of a fire at a residence on Lindsay Street. The fire was extinguished by residents.

Serious Crime Squad detectives investigated the incident and arrested a 32-year-old man this morning. He has been charged with:

  • Arson
  • Breach of bail

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said, "Investigations are on-going and police are requesting anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference number 9847037."
