Police lay charges over sexual touching of teen at Windsor

Police Transport Command officers have charged a man over the alleged sexual touching of a teenager on a train in Sydney's west.

About 5pm on Monday 23 October 2019, a 15-year-old girl was waiting for a train at Windsor Railway Station when she was approached by a man not known to her.

Police will allege in court that the man began to inappropriately touch the girl despite her telling him to stop.

The girl then boarded a train bound for Blacktown and the man allegedly followed her onto the train and continued to touch her inappropriately.

The teenager left the train at Quakers Hill Railway Station and contacted police, who commenced an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, Police Transport Command officers arrested a 26-year-old man at a home in Ebenezer about 7pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 October 2019).

He was taken to Windsor Police Station, where he was charged with sexual touching without consent.

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Windsor Local Court on Thursday 21 November 2019.
