Police lay charges over unlawful entry - Marrara

Detectives from Strike Force Trident have arrested and charged a youth in relation to an unlawful entry at a school in Marrara on 26 March.

Police allege the 16-year-old male unlawfully entered the school in the early hours of the morning and caused extensive damage to the property, including structural damage, damage to vehicles and ransacking classrooms.

Forensic analysis of the scene led detectives to identify the youth, who was arrested in Palmerston on 27 March.

He has been charged with:

  • Unlawful entry - building
  • Damage to property
  • Stealing

He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
